No Need for a Science Degree You might think you need a brain bursting with entomology, zoology, anatomy, or any other -ology to create incredible creatures. But guess what? That’s not our philosophy. While it’s great to have a background in industrial or concept design, or a life spent researching aliens and horror movies, it’s certainly not a prerequisite for creativity.
The Advantage of a Blank Slate If your head isn’t already filled with these wild and wonderful ideas, you might actually have an edge. Why? Because you’re not boxed in by preconceived notions of what should or shouldn’t be, based on what you’ve seen or learned. This means you have the freedom to create something truly unique and extraordinary.
The Real Creative Block Many artists don’t suffer from a lack of ideas, but rather from mental barriers like ‘Imposter Syndrome’ or the thought, “I can’t do that, it’s been done before.” But here’s the twist: just because you haven’t done it before doesn’t mean you can’t. It simply means you might need a little spark to get going. Once you get going.. then twist and change things to make it your own!
Simple Prompts, Infinite Possibilities That’s where prompts come in. Something as basic as “snail,” “four-hands,” or “warrior” can set your imagination soaring. A few simple words are often all it takes to unlock a world of creativity.
Beware of Pinterest Hell A quick word of caution: while resources like Pinterest are fantastic for inspiration, they can also be overwhelming. It’s easy to fall into the rabbit hole of endless scrolling, losing hours and ending up with a folder crammed with a thousand images but no clear direction.
